Today I am traveling back to school. To put it simply, the sounds of the airport and the organized chaos can be stressful or calming, even if you are a seasoned traveller. For me, they are stressful and nerve wracking because heaven forbid you lose focus, get lost, or get caught in the careless scrums and miss your flight (hasn't happened to me, yet). How have I remedied the stress? As soon as I step through the airport doors the headphones go on and do not come off until I have reached my destination. Knowing this, the night before my travels are usually spent adding music to my iTunes library in preparation for the long day. In saying this, here is a playlist of some of the songs I added for my January 11, 2015 journey through the Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Greenville Spartanburg airports. The collection of music is highlighted by new music from Wilough Smith, who released a short EP yesterday titled Interdimensional Tesseract, which the songstress describes it as, "Just for ambient vibes." Philly rapper Tunji Ige, owner of a popular track "For Us", YGTUT's Preachers Son, and knocking productions from SangoBeats are also featured. Enjoy the playlist below, and if you are traveling be safe!

Audio Push featuring OG Maco - Heavy (Produced by Hit-Boy x Ducko Mcfli x Hazebanga) /
OG Maco and Hit-Boy have been on a tear as of late; Maco with his 15 track self-titled EP and Breathe, both coming seemingly simultaneously, and Hit-Boy comes off the cusp of his production work from Nicki Minaj's "Feeling Myself" featuring Beyoncé. They both have done it again as they are featured on the HS87 duo, Audio Push's new track "Heavy". In case the OG Maco and Hit-Boy names weren't enough to set you over the edge, Audio Push also attached this note on SoundCloud accompanying the song, "The best thing since grits and eggs... Album on the way!" Whether "Heavy" is featured on the new album or not remains to be seen, but it is available for a listen below.
THC featuring Childish Gambino and Kent Jamz - Perfect /
Nothing says "Friday" at InTheRough more than a song with a knocking bass and flows from just about any contemporary rapper. Today, Los Angeles producer THC, who crafted "Between Us" on Nipsey Hussle's Mailbox Money project, delivers with "Perfect", a certified banger featuring Childish Gambino and Kent Jamz of Overdoz. Let the sounds take you away below.
Snoop Dogg x DaM-FunK Release Two New Tracks /
Pittsburgh Steelers fan by night, OG rap legend by day; Snoop Dogg has teamed up with Dam-FunK to bring us two new tracks with guest vocals by Daz Dillinger and up-and-coming artist Shon Lawon. The songs "N My System" and "It's Not A Secret" return that retro 'G-funk' flavor to the funky West Coast tracks that are sure to start the New Year off right. You can listen to Snoop and Dam's latest tunes now on OfficeVibes.
Kanye West featuring Paul McCartney - Only One /
And the first post of 2015 goes to Kanye West. Right as we brought in the New Year Kanye released his wonderful song with Paul McCartney we have been hearing rumors about for a while, "Only One". Along with the styling from The Beatles legend, Kanye sings with love in his heart from the perspective of his late mother, Donda West. In a tweet Kim said, "People always ask me what my favorite Kanye song is and it's Only One. Kanye feels like his mom sang thru him to our daughter." It certainly seems that way, but hear the emotion in his voice for yourself as you can stream "Only One" below.
