Congratulations to Kendrick Lamar on the two Grammy awards he racked up last night with his powerful song, "i". Such a victory is not followed by relaxation though, as King Kendrick has unexpectedly dropped a new track, "The Blacker The Berry." Seemingly occupying the opposite end of the spectrum as "i", K. Dot provides yet another racially-charged track that only further demonstrates his level of artistry and way with words. Let the song speak for itself and have a listen below.

Get Involved /
While Vic and Kaytranada have kept it poppin’ with their latest two drops, we are excited to hear from the quieter Savemoney counterpart, Towkio, in his newest track: “Involved Ft. Vic Mensa (Prod. Kaytranada)”. Featuring also an involuntary head bob upon each listen, this song gives me some spring vibes that unfortunately don’t match the iced out weather here in D.C., or anywhere on the east coast for that matter. Hopefully this is the first track of a few more to be released early from Towkio’s “.wav Theory” which has been continued to be pushed back until April. Keep an eye out for upcoming information on Vic and Kaytra as well, and be sure to show the track some love below.

With every project Bronson continues to build the hype for his debut album, Mr. Wonderful that releases March 24. Bump "Big League Chew" below and keep pushing through the week.
Listen to Madonna's New Singles Featuring Nas and Chance the Rapper /
Madonna is no stranger to the rap scene. In past albums such as Hard Candy, we have heard her masterful integration and collaboration with some of hip hop's most popular artists, including Kanye West and Timbaland in songs like, "4 Minutes" and "Beat Goes On". Continuing to showcase her versatility in a changing music industry, Madonna has teamed up with OG rap legend, Nas, in the making of "Veni Vidi Vici". The four minute and thirty-nine second track features a nice combination of that classic club snare and the heavy bass line that has become prevalent throughout today's hip hop production. Madonna's talent is evident as she spits a fire sixteen before transitioning into the sing-songy chorus "I came. I saw. I conquered." This isn't the only hip hop number on her upcoming Rebel Heart album that releases on March 10, though. In fact, released in late January was her single "Iconic" featuring Chance the Rapper. Check out both singles below as we patiently wait for Madonna's return.
Ditch Snapchat, get Rapchat /
Despite the plethora of applications you probably have on your smartphone, today we present to you the only one that will matter: Rapchat. Cut from the same cloth as the now iconic “burn-after-reading” themed Snapchat, Rapchat follows suit with a unique twist that is sure to add an enjoyable aspect to your online presence and activity within your social networks. Featuring a simple design, Rapchat is an application for both Apple and Android platforms that allows users to choose from a variety of beats, and record 30-45 seconds worth of rap to upload to their social media profiles, or send to specific friends. The recorded raps can only be played once by the recipient, and there is no feature to save each set of bars as of yet. This application is great because it transforms the daunting task of rapping into a fun activity between friends, and allows for the users to flex their minds in a creative way throughout the day without any substantial time commitment or scheduling. Geared with all of the same destruction-based technology as Snapchat, those who are too embarrassed to rap in front of people can rejoice, and those who have never rapped before, can start. This app has the potential to change the way in which we view rap altogether, and virtually destroys any barriers that people might face when deciding if they want to experiment within the genre. Also acting as an incredible platform for upcoming producers, the app features beats from a variety of producers that were made exclusively for the product. This word of mouth offers producers a chance to delineate from the over-saturated environment of beat production, and reach customers and rap fans in a new way. This app represents the growth and discovery that technology can offer hip-hop has a genre, and we truly hope that you cop it for free at your respective appstore and see for yourself the reasons why we use and love it. Check out this page for more information on the software, and if you already have the application, send some bars our way to get featured on the blog! We dare you.
